In a major push for port-led development, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal has approved a ₹132 crore project to enhance connectivity at Deendayal Port Authority in Gujarat.
Road Over Bridge to Ease Bottlenecks
The approved project includes the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) within the port area, aimed at:
- Eliminating traffic bottlenecks
- Improving cargo movement efficiency
- Ensuring smoother logistics operations

Sarbananda Sonowal stated that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to modern, efficient, and seamless port connectivity, aligned with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
