JP Nadda and Devendra Fadnavis Visit Dr. BR Ambedkar’s Residence in Mumbai

Date:

In a significant political development, JP Nadda, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accompanied Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on a visit to ‘Rajgruha’, the historic residence of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in Mumbai.

Earlier today, Devendra Fadnavis had announced that he would not be a part of the new Maharashtra government. In a press conference, he revealed that Shiv Sena rebel leader Eknath Shinde would assume the role of the next Chief Minister. However, the BJP’s central leadership had other plans.

Speaking to the media, JP Nadda emphasized the party’s commitment to its ideology. He stated, “Fadnavis has just now announced that Eknath Shinde will be the CM of Maharashtra, and he will not be a part of the government. It shows the character of our party and our leader—we are not working for power but for our ideology.”

Despite Fadnavis’s initial decision, the BJP’s central leadership intervened. Nadda personally requested Fadnavis to reconsider, and the party decided that he should take charge as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Devendra Fadnavis, known for his astute political acumen, ultimately agreed to join the new government. His decision was met with approval from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who tweeted, “On the behest of BJP president JP Nadda, Devendra Fadnavis has decided to join the government in the interest of the state of Maharashtra and its people. This decision is a sign of his true loyalty and service towards Maharashtra.”

The visit to Dr. Ambedkar’s residence holds immense significance. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of India’s Constitution and a champion of social justice, lived at ‘Rajgruha’ during critical periods of Indian history. His legacy continues to inspire generations, and the BJP’s acknowledgment of this legacy through Nadda and Fadnavis’s visit underscores the party’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for historical figures.

As Eknath Shinde prepares to take oath as the new Chief Minister, Maharashtra’s political landscape witnesses intriguing developments. The BJP’s decision to include Fadnavis as Deputy CM adds a new dimension to the unfolding drama.
