Devendra Fadnavis Receives Grand Welcome at BJP Office as Mahayuti Leads in Civic Polls

Date:

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was accorded a grand welcome at the stage set up at the State BJP office in Mumbai as the BJP–Shiv Sena Mahayuti continued to maintain a strong lead in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) election and several other municipal corporations across the state.

Party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers at the BJP headquarters to celebrate the early trends, hailing the Mahayuti’s performance as a significant endorsement of its governance and development agenda. Slogans and applause marked Fadnavis’s arrival, reflecting the upbeat mood within the ruling alliance.

The Mahayuti’s sustained lead in the BMC—one of the country’s most influential and resource-rich civic bodies—has been seen as a major political milestone. Similar trends in other municipal corporations have further strengthened the alliance’s position, indicating broad-based urban support.

Senior BJP leaders said the results underscore public confidence in the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, as well as the alliance’s focus on infrastructure development, civic reforms, and service delivery.

As counting continued, party leaders reiterated that the mandate would be treated as a responsibility to accelerate development works, improve urban governance, and ensure transparency across civic bodies. The final results are expected to have a significant impact on Maharashtra’s political landscape ahead of upcoming local and state-level elections.
