BJP MLA Pravin Datke Addresses Nagpur Violence, Urges Strict Action Against Perpetrators

Date:

BJP MLA Pravin Datke has condemned the recent violence in Nagpur, Maharashtra, revealing that the unrest was instigated by outsiders attempting to provoke tensions between two different communities. Speaking about the incident, Datke stated, “I have received information that some people from outside tried to create tensions between people from two different communities. Vehicles were torched, stones were pelted… People from a particular community came from outside and they did all the violence by proper planning.”

Datke’s remarks highlight the premeditated nature of the violence, suggesting that the attackers had deliberately planned to escalate the situation. The violence reportedly led to the torching of vehicles and the pelting of stones, contributing to widespread unrest in the area.

The MLA also emphasized the swift response from the state government, saying, “The Chief Minister is himself accessing the situation.” He urged that strict action should be taken against those responsible for inciting the violence, calling for justice to be served to ensure peace and order are restored.

The situation remains tense, with security forces deployed to maintain peace in the affected areas. Datke further mentioned that some police personnel had been injured during the clashes, underscoring the seriousness of the violence.

With the situation being closely monitored by both local authorities and the state government, the BJP MLA called for further investigation and swift legal action to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The authorities are working to control the situation, and efforts are underway to ensure peace is restored in Nagpur.
