Maharashtra, India – Union Minister Anurag Thakur launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during a recent political gathering in Maharashtra. Thakur accused the Congress of having “nothing to show, nothing to say,” and lacking ideas for the future.
Thakur highlighted the Congress party’s treatment of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, a key figure in the drafting of India’s constitution and a champion for social justice. He claimed that the Congress party had insulted Ambedkar “not once but many times,” leading to his expulsion from the party and subsequent electoral losses.
Furthermore, Thakur criticized the Congress and the Nehru-Gandhi family for amending the Constitution 62 times, implying that these amendments were not in the best interest of the nation.
In contrast, Thakur praised the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He recalled the day PM Modi first entered Parliament House, where he bowed his head before the Constitution and pledged to uphold ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Support for all, Development for all).
Thakur’s remarks come at a time of heightened political activity in Maharashtra, with parties gearing up for upcoming elections. His comments are likely to fuel further debate on the legacy of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and the role of the Congress party in his political journey.
