Third Term Begins for PM Narendra Modi, First Action Targets Farmers’ Welfare

Date:

New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi today began his third term in office, following a grand swearing-in ceremony in the nation’s capital.

In a significant first act, PM Modi signed a file authorising the release of the 17th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. This move is set to benefit approximately 9.3 crore farmers across India, with a total fund disbursement of around Rs 20,000 crores.

The PM-KISAN scheme, a central government initiative, provides income support to all farmer families across the country. The scheme aims to supplement the financial needs of the farmers in procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities.

By choosing to prioritise the PM-KISAN scheme as his first official action, PM Modi has underscored the importance his government places on the agricultural sector and the welfare of the nation’s farmers.

As PM Modi embarks on his third term, the nation eagerly awaits more such initiatives that aim to uplift various sectors and contribute to the overall development of the country.
