Mumbai | Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis strongly condemned the statement made by Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar regarding the Pahalgam terror attack. Fadnavis described the comment as “insensitive and foolish,” asserting that such statements only serve to embolden the enemies of India.
The CM emphasized that statements undermining the gravity of such attacks are not only inappropriate but also detrimental to national unity and the morale of the people. Fadnavis stressed the importance of leaders speaking in one voice against terrorism, especially in times of national grief and crisis.
His remarks came in response to Wadettiwar’s controversial comments, which, according to Fadnavis, failed to recognize the severity of the terrorist act and its impact on the nation. The Maharashtra CM called for responsible leadership and urged all political leaders to refrain from making statements that could be misused by adversaries and enemies of the country.
Fadnavis reaffirmed that the Maharashtra government, along with the central government, would continue to take firm action against those responsible for such heinous acts of terrorism and uphold the spirit of unity and resilience in the face of adversity.
