Mumbai, March 23: Maharashtra Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has announced a 20 per cent increase in LPG supply for hotels and restaurants across the state, offering relief to the hospitality sector.

Boost for Hospitality and Food Industry

The minister said the decision has been taken in line with central government directives to improve the availability of commercial LPG.

The enhanced allocation will benefit a wide range of establishments, including:

  • Hotels and restaurants
  • Dhabas
  • Industrial canteens
  • Food processing units
  • Dairy units
  • Subsidised canteens and community kitchens run by state and local bodies

Relief Expected for Business Operators

The increased LPG allocation is seen as part of broader efforts to streamline supply chains and support businesses, particularly those dependent on bulk cooking fuel.
