PM Modi Highlights India-Japan Strategic Partnership for Global Peace and Prosperity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Japan, underlined the strong and enduring partnership between India and Japan, describing their collaboration as vital for global peace, stability, and prosperity. He emphasised that the partnership is rooted in mutual trust and shared democratic values, making it a cornerstone of the Indo-Pacific region.

The India-Japan partnership extends across multiple sectors, with flagship projects like the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor showcasing technological and infrastructural cooperation. In a symbolic gesture of friendship, PM Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba took a Shinkansen ride together and visited the Tokyo Electron Factory, highlighting collaboration in cutting-edge technology and transport infrastructure.

PM Modi further stated that India and Japan, as two vibrant democracies, can drive the vision of an “Asian Century,” shaping a future marked by growth, stability, and innovation. He reiterated India’s focus on initiatives such as Make in India and Make for the World, with Japan playing a trusted partner in this transformative journey.
