Fadnavis, Pawar & Shinde Inspect Metro 9 Corridor from Dahisar to Kashigaon

Date:

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, conducted a technical inspection of Metro Route-9, covering the stretch from Dahisar (East) to Kashigaon on Tuesday.

The high-level review signifies the government’s push for timely completion of the crucial Metro Line 9, which aims to enhance connectivity between Mumbai and Mira-Bhayandar. The leaders travelled on the route to assess infrastructure readiness, station design, and operational preparedness.

CM Fadnavis emphasized the importance of the project, stating that Metro 9 will ease travel for lakhs of daily commuters, reduce congestion on roadways, and integrate effectively with the larger metro network of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

The corridor also features India’s first double-chamber bridge, designed to carry both metro and rail services. The inspection aligns with the government’s timeline to make the route operational by 2027, as part of its broader urban transport upgrade.
