Government Pledges to Eradicate Naxalism Following Historic Operation

Date:

In a recent interview with India Today TV, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a bold pledge on behalf of the government. He stated that if voters grant Prime Minister Narendra Modi a third consecutive term at the Centre, their administration would ensure the eradication of Naxalism from the country within one to two years.

This statement comes in the wake of a significant operation conducted by security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district, which resulted in the death of 29 Naxals.

Historic Operation in Kanker District

On Tuesday, teams from the Border Security Force (BSF) and the District Reserve Guard (DRG) conducted a joint operation in Kanker. The operation was a resounding success, resulting in the death of 29 Naxals, including one of their top leaders.

This operation marks a significant milestone in Chhattisgarh’s fight against Left Wing Extremism (LWE), as it is the highest number of casualties suffered by the Naxals in a single encounter in the state’s history.

A Pledge for a Safer Future

The government’s pledge to eradicate Naxalism signifies a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the nation. With the potential of a third term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the focus is clearly on rooting out extremism and fostering peace and stability across the country.

As the nation awaits the outcome of the elections, the recent operation in Kanker serves as a stark reminder of the challenges that lie ahead and the government’s resolve to overcome them.
