New Delhi — In his recent edition of “Mann Ki Baat,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of cultural pride as a cornerstone for national progress and spotlighted Project PARI – Public Art of India – as a significant initiative in celebrating and enhancing India’s heritage through art.

Prime Minister Modi described Project PARI as a transformative effort aimed at infusing public spaces with vibrant artistic expressions. “A nation’s growth is deeply intertwined with its pride in its culture. Through Project PARI, we are not only beautifying our surroundings but also reinforcing our connection to our rich cultural roots,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister cited specific examples of how art is being incorporated into public spaces, illustrating the project’s impact. He mentioned the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, which features remarkable artworks that represent India’s artistic heritage. Additionally, Modi highlighted the creative public art installations on underpasses and flyovers in Delhi, which have significantly enhanced the visual appeal of the city and offered a daily celebration of cultural artistry.

Modi praised these initiatives for their role in enriching urban environments and promoting a sense of pride among citizens. “Public art has the power to transform spaces and inspire people. Projects like these are excellent examples of how art can contribute to a city’s charm and foster a sense of national pride,” he remarked.

The Prime Minister also called upon art and culture enthusiasts to actively engage in and support public art projects. “I encourage everyone involved in the arts to contribute to Project PARI and other similar endeavors. Your efforts will help further beautify our cities and strengthen our cultural heritage,” Modi urged.

Project PARI exemplifies India’s dedication to integrating art into everyday life, enhancing the cultural and aesthetic value of public spaces. Through this initiative, the nation aims to celebrate and preserve its diverse heritage while inspiring future generations with the beauty and significance of artistic expression.
