Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE) on August 3, 2024, at the National Agricultural Science Centre (NASC) Complex in New Delhi. The inauguration will begin at 9:30 AM, with Prime Minister Modi also delivering a keynote address during the event.
This year’s ICAE, organized by the International Association of Agricultural Economists, is a landmark event, returning to India for the first time in 65 years. The conference, which runs from August 2 to August 7, 2024, is themed “Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems.”
The ICAE 2024 will address key challenges in agriculture, such as climate change, natural resource depletion, rising production costs, and geopolitical conflicts. It will emphasize India’s proactive measures and innovations in tackling these issues and advancing agricultural sustainability.
The conference will host around 1,000 delegates from approximately 75 countries, creating an opportunity for experts and emerging researchers to present their work and engage with global peers. The event aims to strengthen collaborations between research institutions and universities, impact policy-making on both national and international levels, and highlight advancements in digital agriculture and sustainable agri-food systems.
ICAE 2024 is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future of global agriculture, reflecting India’s commitment to addressing global agricultural challenges and showcasing its advancements in the sector.
