Maharashtra: In a statement filled with confidence and celebration, Ashish Shelar, the newly elected chief whip of the Maharashtra BJP, hailed the party’s victory as historic, emphasizing the unprecedented mandate BJP received in the recent elections. Shelar also acknowledged the increased seats for Shiv Sena and NCP under the leadership of Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, signaling the strength of the alliance in the state.

“BJP received an unprecedented and unparalleled mandate. The seats of Shiv Sena and NCP also increased under the leadership of Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar,” Shelar said, noting the cooperative efforts that led to the alliance’s significant success. He further highlighted the historical “striking rate” of the BJP, which he described as a key factor in the party’s success.

Shelar’s remarks come in the wake of the BJP’s decision to unanimously choose Devendra Fadnavis as the Leader of Maharashtra. “Today, unanimously we chose Devendra Fadnavis as the Leader of Maharashtra, and soon we will stake our claim to form the government as well,” Shelar announced, signaling that the political process for the new government formation is underway.

The BJP leader went on to express the party’s enthusiasm about their victory, drawing a parallel to the festive spirit of Diwali. “It is Diwali for us today,” Shelar added, emphasizing the sense of joy and triumph that the BJP and its allies are feeling after the successful conclusion of the elections and the formation of the government.

Fadnavis, who is set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, will lead the newly formed government, with the backing of Shiv Sena and NCP. The alliance, now known as Mahayuti, is preparing to take charge of the state’s administration, marking the beginning of a new political chapter under Fadnavis’ leadership.

Shelar’s remarks reflect a sense of optimism and unity within the BJP and its alliance partners. The party is now focused on consolidating its power and working together to ensure effective governance for the people of Maharashtra in the months to come.
