Political War of Words Escalates in Maharashtra as Shaina NC Criticizes Sanjay Raut

Date:

The political rift between the Shiv Sena factions deepened further as BJP leader and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) spokesperson Shaina NC launched a scathing attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut. In response to Raut’s recent statements, Shaina NC dismissed his remarks, stating, “No one takes Sanjay Raut seriously.”

She further accused the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction of straying from the core ideology of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. “Shiv Sena (UBT) lost the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray, indulged in politics of appeasement, and stooped to the lowest level to gain power,” she said, emphasizing that the faction had abandoned the principles on which the party was built.

Shaina NC also took a dig at Raut’s rhetoric, suggesting that he needed a “crash course in history and public speaking.” The comments come amid the ongoing power struggle within Shiv Sena, which saw a major split in 2022 when Eknath Shinde led a rebellion, eventually forming the government in Maharashtra with BJP’s support.

Highlighting the legitimacy of the Shinde-led faction, Shaina NC asserted, “Eknath Shinde proved that his party is the real Shiv Sena after the Maharashtra assembly elections.” Her remarks underscore the continued claim by the Shinde camp that they represent the true legacy of the party, following their recognition by the Election Commission as the official Shiv Sena.

The war of words between the two factions has intensified ahead of the upcoming elections, with both sides vying to establish their dominance in Maharashtra politics. As the state heads into a crucial electoral phase, political observers predict more heated exchanges in the battle for Shiv Sena’s legacy and voter support.
