BJP MLA Ram Kadam Accuses Abu Azmi of Instigating Nagpur Violence, Vows Action

Date:

Mumbai – In the aftermath of the violent clashes in Nagpur, BJP MLA Ram Kadam has pointed fingers at senior politician Abu Azmi, blaming him for triggering the unrest. Kadam’s comments came as the political fallout from the incident intensified, with various parties exchanging accusations over who was responsible for the violence.

Speaking to the media, Ram Kadam stated, “Abu Azmi is responsible for this. He started this issue.” He further claimed that the violence was premeditated, alleging that it was aimed at discrediting the government. “This was a preplanned violence to defame the government,” Kadam added, emphasizing the deliberate nature of the unrest.

The Nagpur incident involved protests that turned violent, leading to injuries among police personnel and widespread damage to public property. While the protests were reportedly in response to various local issues, the clash between protestors and the police drew significant attention due to its intensity.

In a broader context, Kadam also made a reference to the past, mentioning an incident involving the protection of Aurangzeb’s tomb by the police during the Congress-led government. “The ASI protected Aurangzeb’s grave when Congress was in power,” Kadam said, suggesting that the current unrest was rooted in a history of contentious issues related to religious and political symbols.

Despite the accusations and the heightened political rhetoric, Kadam stressed that the Maharashtra government was committed to taking lawful action. “The Maharashtra government will take action within the limits of the law,” he asserted, signaling that any wrongdoers would face consequences, but the process would remain within the boundaries of legal procedures.

The BJP’s statements come in the wake of a volatile atmosphere in Maharashtra, where the Nagpur violence has added to the already tense political climate. While Ram Kadam has pinned the blame on Azmi, the Samajwadi Party leader has yet to respond publicly to the accusations.

The investigation into the Nagpur violence is ongoing, with authorities working to identify the perpetrators and maintain order in the city. With several political figures now weighing in on the incident, the situation remains a point of contention among the state’s political factions, highlighting the sharp divisions in Maharashtra’s political landscape.

As the investigation continues, many will be watching to see what actions the Maharashtra government takes and whether the accusations made by BJP leaders, including Kadam, gain further traction.
