Union Minister of Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi has hailed the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, a key accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, as a significant milestone in India’s fight against terrorism.
Speaking on the matter, Joshi stated, “Our government has an approach of zero tolerance towards Naxalism and terrorism… This is a big step towards the fight against terrorism. We will get to know who all were involved in it.”
The extradition of Tahawwur Rana, a Pakistani-American businessman, is seen as a major diplomatic and legal victory for India, reaffirming the government’s commitment to bringing all perpetrators of the 2008 terror attack to justice. Rana is accused of playing a crucial role in facilitating the movement and planning of the attackers, which led to the deaths of over 170 people, including foreign nationals, in Mumbai.
The government believes this move will help uncover deeper conspiracies behind the attack and further strengthen the global stance against terrorism. Joshi’s remarks underscore the Modi administration’s firm stance on national security and its continued pursuit of justice for victims of terrorism.
