Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC has responded to the reported death threats received via mail by NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique, assuring that Mumbai Police and the administration are taking the matter seriously.
“Mumbai Police are investigating the mail received by Zeeshan Siddique,” Shaina NC stated, adding, “Mumbai Police, the government, and the administration know what to do and how to keep Mumbai safe.”
The statement follows Union Minister Ramdas Athawale’s call for a thorough investigation into the matter. With political temperatures rising in the lead-up to elections, the security of public representatives has become a pressing concern.
The Mumbai Police are currently verifying the authenticity and source of the threat, and further updates are awaited.
