Mumbai, Maharashtra — Responding to Congress leader Sachin Pilot’s recent remarks on the caste census, BJP MLA Ram Kadam defended the Modi government’s approach, asserting that it fulfills its commitments and accusing the Congress of hypocrisy.
“This is the government of PM Modi, where promises are fulfilled when they are made. The people have been observing this for the last 11 years,” Kadam said, emphasizing the BJP’s track record on governance and delivery.
He dismissed the Congress party’s right to raise the caste census issue, stating, “Congress has no right to raise this issue. When they were in power, they were involved in corruption. Every new day, there was a new case of corruption.”
Kadam’s comments come amid renewed political debate following the Centre’s move to include caste enumeration in the upcoming census, a decision being welcomed by some and contested by others along party lines.
