Mumbai — Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hailed the opening of Tesla’s showroom in Mumbai as a significant achievement for the state, highlighting Maharashtra’s growing appeal as an investment destination.
“It is a big deal that Tesla has opened its showroom in Mumbai,” said Shinde. “Maharashtra has the highest foreign direct investment (FDI). The state has good infrastructure, which is why investors are showing strong interest.”
He emphasized that Maharashtra’s industry-friendly environment, proactive governance, and modern infrastructure have made it the preferred choice for global and domestic investors alike.
Tesla’s entry is expected to boost the electric mobility ecosystem in the region, complementing the state’s aggressive push toward clean and sustainable industries.
