Devendra Fadnavis Urges Supporters to Donate to CM Relief Fund Instead of Birthday Banners

Date:

Mumbai — Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has once again called on his supporters to refrain from putting up hoardings and banners for his birthday, which will be celebrated tomorrow. Instead, he has urged them to channel their goodwill toward a more meaningful cause.

“I have always advised everyone not to put banners and hoardings on my birthday,” Fadnavis said in a statement. “This year, I have told people not to spend money on hoardings and banners but to donate money to the Mukhyamantri Sahayata Nidhi, which will help me for the treatment of the patients through the fund.”

Fadnavis’s appeal comes as part of a broader message encouraging social responsibility and discouraging wasteful expenditure on public displays of celebration. The Mukhyamantri Sahayata Nidhi is a state-level relief fund aimed at supporting medical treatment for economically disadvantaged patients in Maharashtra.

The Chief Minister’s gesture has been appreciated by many across party lines and civil society, reinforcing his image as a leader focused on practical public welfare over symbolic gestures.
