Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced the launch of the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’ campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at improving the health and well-being of women across India. Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Goyal said the campaign reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of women-led development, where the empowerment of women is seen as central to the nation’s progress.
“The ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’ campaign for the well-being of our sisters has been started today,” Goyal said. “PM Modi believes India cannot become a developed nation until every region in the country becomes developed.” He emphasized that the health of women is directly linked to the strength and prosperity of families and, by extension, the nation.
Highlighting the transformative reforms of 2025, Goyal noted that PM Modi has given two major gifts to the country this year. First, a groundbreaking tax reform that ensures no income tax on annual income up to ₹12 lakh, offering relief to millions of middle-class families. Second, the much-awaited GST reforms, which will come into effect from 22nd September, are expected to simplify compliance, boost trade, and stimulate economic growth.
The minister underscored that these measures reflect the government’s commitment to inclusive development, ensuring economic empowerment, social welfare, and gender equality. The combination of tax relief, GST reforms, and a nationwide women’s health drive marks another milestone in India’s journey towards becoming a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.
