Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated ‘AIIFA Steelex 2025 – A Steel Mahakumbh’ in Mumbai, a grand industry event showcasing the latest innovations and technologies in the steel sector. Organized by the All India Induction Furnaces Association (AIIFA), the event has brought together prominent leaders, industrialists, policy makers, and technology providers from across the country and abroad.
Speaking at the ceremony, CM Fadnavis emphasized the critical role of the steel industry in India’s infrastructure growth, manufacturing, and economic development. He highlighted that Maharashtra, being one of the country’s leading industrial states, offers a strong foundation for steel production and allied industries. Fadnavis reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment, encouraging investments, and supporting industries adopting sustainable and energy-efficient practices.
The three-day event features exhibitions, panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions focusing on advanced steelmaking technologies, green steel production, and strategies for achieving carbon neutrality. Industry experts are expected to deliberate on challenges such as raw material supply, global competition, and the need for innovation to meet India’s growing demand for steel in infrastructure, housing, and renewable energy projects.
