Mumbai | Union Minister Ramdas Athawale Pays Tribute to Veteran Actor Dharmendra

Mumbai, Maharashtra | The Indian film industry and millions of fans across the country are mourning the demise of legendary actor Dharmendra, one of Bollywood’s most beloved and enduring icons. Known for his unmatched versatility, powerful screen presence, and warm off-screen persona, Dharmendra leaves behind a cinematic legacy spanning over six decades and more than 300 films.

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale expressed deep sorrow over the actor’s passing, calling him “a very big actor of the Hindi film industry.” Speaking to the media, Athawale said, “Dharmendra ji acted in more than 300 films. On behalf of the Union Government, I paid tribute to him.” He added that Dharmendra’s contribution to Indian cinema is unforgettable and that his films continue to inspire generations.

Dharmendra, fondly known as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” enthralled audiences with iconic performances in classics such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Satyakam, Phool Aur Patthar, Seeta Aur Geeta, and Yaadon Ki Baaraat. Beyond his on-screen achievements, he was admired for his humility and affable nature, earning respect from colleagues across the film fraternity.
