Mumbai | Piyush Goyal Emphasises Accountability, Says BJP Leaders Must Report Work to the People

Mumbai, Maharashtra: Union Minister Piyush Goyal reaffirmed the importance of accountability and transparency in public service, stating that it is the responsibility of every elected representative to keep citizens informed about their work and future plans.

Speaking in North Mumbai, Goyal said,

“It is the duty of the people’s representative to give their report to the people, to tell them what work has been done and what their future plans are. This tradition has been in the BJP for years.”

Highlighting the party’s commitment to public trust, he added that BJP leaders continuously strive to demonstrate, through their work, how they honour the confidence placed in them by voters.

Goyal also addressed the residents of North Mumbai, urging them to continue working with “great hope and aspiration.” He assured that the government would make every possible effort to resolve issues faced by the community, reiterating his dedication to development and citizen welfare.

The Union Minister’s remarks come as part of an ongoing outreach to strengthen communication between elected representatives and the electorate, ensuring that governance remains participatory, transparent, and responsive.
