Mumbai: Reacting to the Maharashtra Civic Polls Results 2026, BJP winning candidate from Ward No. 217, Gaurang C Jhaveri, on Tuesday credited Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for promoting young leadership and said the victory comes with a strong sense of responsibility.

Speaking after his win, Jhaveri said the party leadership had placed faith in youth to contribute meaningfully to society. “Devendra Fadnavis gave opportunity to young leaders to give back to the society, and it is our responsibility that we will fulfil with the best of our capabilities,” he said.

Jhaveri described the mandate as a reflection of public trust in the BJP’s development-oriented agenda and governance model. He added that young representatives are expected to play a proactive role in addressing local issues and ensuring transparent and effective civic administration.

The BJP’s performance in the 2026 civic polls has been marked by a strong showing of first-time and young candidates, underlining the party’s emphasis on leadership renewal at the grassroots level.

Jhaveri assured residents of Ward No. 217 that he would work closely with the municipal administration to improve civic amenities, strengthen local infrastructure, and ensure that public concerns are addressed promptly, in line with the vision of the state leadership.
