Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Visits Mahalakshmi Saras Exhibition in Nagpur, Sales Cross ₹10 Crore

Nagpur, March 23: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday visited the Mahalakshmi Saras Exhibition in Nagpur, where over 404 stalls have been set up, generating sales of nearly ₹10 crore so far.


Exhibition Boosting Women Self-Help Groups

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister described the exhibition as more than just a sales platform, calling it an effective marketplace for women’s self-help groups (SHGs).

He emphasized that the government will continue efforts to increase turnover in the coming days and strengthen economic opportunities for women-led groups.


Growing Participation, Stronger Brand Presence

Fadnavis noted that the event is witnessing increasing public participation, adding that the ‘Mahalakshmi Saras’ brand is steadily gaining recognition.

He also highlighted that self-help groups across Maharashtra are collectively conducting transactions worth around ₹100 crore, showcasing their growing contribution to the state’s economy.


Multiple Development Initiatives Launched

During his visit, the Chief Minister inaugurated several key initiatives, including:

  • ‘Didi Ki Rasoi’ restaurant
  • Project Dream 100 Village Library
  • 14 ICT labs in Zilla Parishad schools
  • ‘AI Lab on Wheels – Gyanrath’
  • ‘Super 40 Anganwadi’ programme
  • ‘Gurukul AI Lab 48’

These initiatives aim to boost education, digital access, nutrition, and community development across the state.


Focus on Inclusive Growth and Empowerment

The exhibition and newly launched initiatives reflect the government’s focus on women empowerment, rural development, and digital inclusion, positioning self-help groups as key drivers of grassroots economic growth.
