The Commerce Minister emphasized that the multilateral trading system should ensure that innovation, development, and economic opportunities are shared equally among all WTO members.

On the sidelines of the conference, Goyal held important discussions with Jamieson Greer.
According to the minister, the meeting focused on:

- Next steps in India-US BTA negotiations
- Strengthening economic cooperation
- Deepening bilateral trade relations
This meeting is seen as significant for boosting India-US trade ties amid evolving global trade dynamics.
India-Canada CEPA Progress Reviewed
The minister also met Maninder Sidhu to review the progress of the recently launched India-Canada CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) negotiations.
Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
India-New Zealand FTA and Investment Talks
During his meeting with Todd McClay, Goyal reviewed progress on the agenda and ongoing work related to the recently concluded India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) discussions.
The talks also focused on enhancing bilateral trade, investment, and cooperation in key sectors of mutual interest.
