World Leaders Congratulate PM Modi on Becoming India’s Longest-Serving Elected Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become India’s longest-serving democratically elected Prime Minister. Many world leaders have congratulated him on the historic milestone of holding the office of Prime Minister continuously for over 4,300 days. Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude to leaders from various countries for their good wishes.

Thanks to the President of Mongolia

While thanking the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Prime Minister Modi wrote on the social media platform X that he was grateful for his warm words. He stated that India and Mongolia share deep and special ties and that the strategic partnership between the two nations would grow even stronger. Earlier, President Khurelsukh had sent a message warmly congratulating Prime Minister Modi on his election to a third term and on becoming India’s longest-serving Prime Minister.

Wishes from the Prime Minister of Ethiopia

Narendra Modi also thanked Abiy Ahmed Ali for his congratulatory message. He mentioned that he fondly remembers their meeting in Ethiopia last year and looks forward to advancing cooperation for the benefit of the people of both nations and the Global South. In his message, Abiy Ahmed Ali had congratulated Prime Minister Modi on the historic achievement of leading India through three consecutive democratic terms and becoming the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister.

Congratulations from the European Commission President

Prime Minister Modi also expressed gratitude for the congratulatory message from Ursula von der Leyen. He noted that the India-EU partnership is continuously strengthening across various sectors, including trade, technology, mobility, and security. In her message, von der Leyen stated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India has scaled new heights and India-EU relations have consistently strengthened. She appreciated the cooperation between the two sides in the fields of technology, mobility, security, defense, and trade.

Gratitude to the German Chancellor

Narendra Modi also thanked German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. He stated that both countries are committed to further strengthening the India-Germany strategic partnership and deepening cooperation across various sectors. Prime Minister Modi said that India will continue its efforts to take relations with its key global partners to new heights.
