Western Railway Announces No ‘Jumbo Block’ on NEET Exam Day to Ensure Smooth Travel

Western Railway has taken a significant step regarding the NEET exam scheduled for Sunday, June 21. It has announced that there will be no ‘mega block’ on the railway network on the day of the exam. According to the information provided by Western Railway, no ‘jumbo block’ will be undertaken in view of the NEET exam scheduled for June 21. Suburban services will operate according to the weekday schedule, while AC suburban services will run according to the Sunday schedule.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Tuesday that approximately 3.5 lakh candidates would appear for the NEET exam, which is to be held across 59 districts of the state on June 21. He directed that candidates appearing for the exam be granted a 50 percent concession on fares in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses upon showing their admit cards. Additionally, he ordered that necessary temporary accommodation facilities be made available for candidates traveling to other districts for the exam who do not have lodging arrangements.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure all necessary arrangements to maintain the integrity, transparency, and sensitivity of the exam, in accordance with NTA guidelines. He also called for strict monitoring of attempts to spread rumors, misleading information, or incorrect data on social media and other platforms, and directed that prompt and effective action be taken against such activities.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reviewed the state’s preparations for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG). During the review, he directed government officials to ensure the ‘transparent, secure, and error-free conduct’ of the exam at all centers. The exam is scheduled to be held on June 21.

Presiding over a high-level review meeting via video conference from the ministry, the Chief Minister stated that the credibility of a national-level exam depends on precise planning and flawless execution. In a statement, Chief Minister Yadav emphasized that NEET is a national-level examination; all preparations must be completed in advance, and the exam must be conducted with complete transparency. He asserted that there should be no lapses or errors at any stage.
