Mumbai — Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC has strongly defended the Centre’s decision to send all-party delegations abroad as part of #OperationSindoor, urging the opposition to rise above politics in matters of national security.
Addressing media in Mumbai, Shaina said, “I don’t understand why the opposition is opposing this. There are seven delegations of MPs with representation from the Northeast, multiple parties, and even members of Congress and other opposition parties leading some of them.”
She emphasized the need for unity on global platforms, stating, “We have to show the international forum that India is a mature democracy and its fight is against terrorism, not against civilians. I would only tell all the opposers to grow up.”
The delegations are part of India’s diplomatic push to expose Pakistan’s role in fostering cross-border terrorism and to showcase India’s zero-tolerance policy in response to recent attacks, including the one in Pahalgam.
Speaking about the Tiranga Yatra, Shaina said, “All citizens want to thank the Indian Army through the Tiranga Yatra. You must have seen that the Army has spread peace among all citizens through Operation Sindoor, whereas there was anger among people after the Pahalgam terror attack.”
She also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Our Prime Minister has shown political will and there is only gratitude among the public towards him and the Army.”
