Central Railway Announces 250 Special Trains for Ganesh Chaturthi Travel Rush

Mumbai — In preparation for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival, Central Railway has announced the operation of 250 special trains to accommodate the heavy travel demand during the festive season.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Central Railway, said, “On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, special trains are being run by Central Railway. Central Railway has announced 250 trains.”

These trains will operate between August 22 and September 10, covering key routes in Maharashtra and neighboring states to ensure smooth travel for devotees and holiday-goers.

Dr. Nila further informed that booking for these special trains will begin tomorrow, providing passengers ample time to plan their journeys in advance.

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in Maharashtra, and the announcement of these special trains is expected to ease the travel rush, especially for those visiting Konkan and other popular destinations.
