BJP leader Ram Kadam defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Manipur, where the PM inaugurated development projects worth thousands of crores, and questioned the opposition’s reaction to the event.
Speaking to the media, Kadam said, “PM Modi is inaugurating development plans worth thousands of crores today in Manipur. Does the opposition not like it? When to go, where, and when not to go, these are all matters of policy. The opposition should be happy with the project worth thousands of crores being inaugurated there.”
The Prime Minister’s visit marks a significant step in boosting infrastructure and economic growth in the northeastern state. The projects are aimed at improving connectivity, creating jobs, and strengthening regional development, aligning with the government’s larger goal of balanced growth across all regions of India.
Kadam’s remarks come amid criticism from opposition parties questioning the timing of the visit. The BJP leader urged them to appreciate the transformative investments being launched for the welfare of Manipur’s people instead of politicising the occasion.
