Eknath Shinde Urges Support for NDA in Bihar Polls, Says People Want PM Modi’s Model of Development

Date:

Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday said that the ongoing Bihar elections are centered on the issue of development, asserting that the people of Bihar are rejecting “jungle raj, hooliganism, and corruption” in favour of the progress-driven governance model of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Shinde said, “The elections in Bihar are being fought on the issue of development. The people of Bihar don’t want jungle raj, hooliganism, or corruption. They want PM Modi’s kind of development.”

He appealed to the people of Maharashtra with roots in Bihar to reach out to their families back home and encourage them to vote for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). “That’s why I’ve appealed to the people of Bihar to urge their relatives in Bihar to support the NDA and PM Modi in the elections tomorrow,” he added.

Shinde emphasised that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has witnessed rapid infrastructural growth, welfare schemes for the poor, and transparent governance. He said that the same model should continue in Bihar to ensure consistent progress and stability.

The Deputy Chief Minister’s remarks come a day before the crucial phase of voting in Bihar, where the NDA is seeking a renewed mandate amid a campaign focused on development, law and order, and good governance.
