India Defeats New Zealand by 96 Runs in Final

India clinched the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 title after defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the final match played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first, India set a massive target of 256 runs. In response, the New Zealand team was bowled out for 159 runs in 19 overs, handing India a dominant victory.

With this win, India has lifted the T20 World Cup trophy for the third time and also became the first country to win the tournament on home soil.
