ONGC Awards ₹125 Crore IT Infrastructure Modernisation Contract to Corporate Infotech

State-run oil and gas major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has taken a major step towards modernising its digital infrastructure by awarding a ₹125 crore IT services contract to Corporate Infotech Private Limited.

Under the agreement, the IT service provider will manage and maintain ONGC’s information technology infrastructure at 47 centres across India for the next three years.

Boost to Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity

The project aims to modernise ONGC’s digital ecosystem and strengthen its cybersecurity framework.

Officials said the initiative is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of the company’s IT systems, ensuring smoother operations across its nationwide network.

AI Technology to Enable Smart IT Management

One of the key highlights of the project is the use of advanced artificial intelligence technologies.

The project will implement:

  • AI-based system monitoring
  • Predictive maintenance solutions
  • Intelligent automation tools

These technologies will help ensure secure and efficient management of critical IT systems, while enabling faster detection and resolution of potential technical issues.

Over 450 IT Professionals to Support Project

To implement the project, Corporate Infotech Private Limited has deployed a team of more than 450 skilled IT professionals.

The team will be stationed at various ONGC offices across the country to provide 24/7 technical support, monitoring, and cybersecurity management.

Strengthening Digital Capabilities in Public Sector

According to Managing Director Vinod Kumar, the partnership goes beyond routine IT infrastructure maintenance.

He said the initiative aims to enhance IT operations through modern technologies and improve digital resilience within the public sector.

Founded in 1956, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is one of India’s largest energy companies, while Corporate Infotech Private Limited has been active in the IT services sector since 2007.

Experts believe the collaboration represents an important step toward strengthening digital transformation and technological capabilities in India’s public sector enterprises.
