Shiv Sena’s Shaina N C Criticises Sharad Pawar Over Remarks on Election Process

Date:

Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Shaina N C on Saturday took aim at NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar, questioning the credibility of his recent statements on the electoral process and the Election Commission.

Calling Pawar a “prominent and experienced leader,” Shaina expressed disbelief over his claims. “Do you believe that two people would have met him whose names and addresses he doesn’t even know?” she asked, implying inconsistencies in his narrative.

She stressed that the ultimate verdict in elections lies with the people. “The public decides victory or defeat, Sharad Pawar ji, and if you have any objections, you can file a complaint with the Election Commission or approach the court,” Shaina said. She accused the veteran leader of scripting allegations that cast doubt on democracy, the voters, and the Election Commission without following due process.

Reiterating the importance of respecting electoral outcomes, the Shiv Sena leader pointed out that results had been accepted in the Lok Sabha polls despite differences, and questioned why objections were now being raised over the Vidhan Sabha outcome. “We all know that ‘the one who wins is the conqueror.’ We accepted this in the Lok Sabha, but you have objections in the Vidhan Sabha,” she remarked.

Her statement adds to the ongoing political sparring in Maharashtra, where election results and the conduct of constitutional bodies remain points of heated debate among parties.
