Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Unveils ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin’ Scheme and Free Cylinder Initiative

Date:

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has unveiled ambitious plans aimed at empowering women and providing essential support to households through the state budget announcements. Emphasizing the state government’s commitment to social welfare, CM Shinde introduced the ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme, which promises significant financial assistance to women.

During the budget presentation, CM Shinde stated, “The way Central govt empowered women, similarly, our state govt will bring a scheme-‘Majhi Ladki Bahin’ under which women will get Rs 1500 per month through DBT.” This scheme, slated to be implemented through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), aims to provide financial stability to women across Maharashtra, mirroring the initiatives undertaken by the central government.

In addition to the ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme, CM Shinde also announced a proactive measure aimed at easing the financial burden on households. “We will give 3 free cylinders every year to all households,” he declared, highlighting the state government’s commitment to ensuring access to essential cooking fuel.

These announcements are part of Maharashtra’s broader strategy to enhance social security and economic well-being among its citizens. The initiatives underscore the government’s proactive approach to address key socio-economic challenges and improve the quality of life for residents statewide.

As stakeholders and analysts assess the implications of these budgetary allocations, the focus remains on the effective implementation and impact of these welfare schemes. With ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin’ and the free cylinder initiative set to roll out soon, Maharashtra looks poised to embark on a path of inclusive growth and development under CM Shinde’s leadership.
