Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced that the increments for employees holding an MA degree in Marathi, which were previously halted by the Thane Municipal Corporation, will now be reinstated.
Shinde stated that he had instructed the Commissioner of Thane Municipality to take immediate action on the matter. “The increments which had been stopped will now be reinstated,” he confirmed, ensuring that affected employees will receive their due benefits.
Highlighting the government’s focus on efficiency, Shinde emphasized that all departments are actively working towards achieving their targets for the first 100 days. “Every department is working to achieve the targets for the first 100 days. The efficiency of every department has improved by 50%,” he added.
This decision is expected to benefit several employees and further reinforce the government’s commitment to promoting Marathi language studies. It also aligns with the broader agenda of ensuring fair treatment of government employees and boosting administrative efficiency in the state.
