Mahayuti Set to Script History in Civic Polls, Says Shiv Sena Leader Shaina NC

Mumbai: Amid the Maharashtra civic body elections, Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC expressed confidence in a strong mandate for the Mahayuti alliance, stating that the final results would reflect public support for development-oriented leadership under Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Reacting to exit polls, Shaina NC said, “We welcome the exit polls but tomorrow, post 12 o’clock you will realise that history is being made by the Mahayuti, based on the sheer developmental agenda of Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis.”

She drew a sharp contrast between leaders actively engaged on the ground and those she accused of remaining disconnected from public issues. “There are certain people who choose to work from home and people have rejected that. They have only chosen the people who work on the ground,” she remarked.

Emphasising the vision for Mumbai’s future, the Shiv Sena leader said that transformative urban development requires hands-on leadership. “To make Mumbai a Viksit Mumbai and a Viksit Maharashtra, you need to have leaders like Eknath Shinde who have tirelessly toiled on the vision plan for a pothole-free Mumbai,” she added.

The civic body elections are being closely watched as a crucial test of public sentiment toward the ruling Mahayuti alliance. Shaina NC’s remarks underline the coalition’s confidence that its focus on infrastructure, governance reforms, and grassroots engagement will translate into electoral success.

With results expected to shape the political narrative in Maharashtra, the outcome of the civic polls is likely to have significant implications for urban governance and future electoral battles in the state.
