The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested six accused from Haryana in connection with the firing incident at film director Rohit Shetty’s residence. Officials confirmed that the arrested individuals were directly involved in the attack. The accused are being brought to Mumbai for further interrogation.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the Crime Branch conducted coordinated raids in Haryana and detained the suspects. According to media reports, four of the arrested individuals were shooters, while two others were linked to the broader conspiracy.
Details of the Arrested Accused
The arrested accused have been identified as Hrithik Yadav, Deepak Sharma, Sunny, and Sonu, along with two additional associates. Police investigations revealed that Deepak Sharma allegedly acted as the main shooter. After the incident, he reportedly took shelter in the Bahadurgarh area of Haryana. Officials also stated that Deepak has prior criminal cases registered against him.
Investigations suggest that Sunny and Sonu conducted a recce of Rohit Shetty’s residence before the shooting. Hrithik Yadav is believed to have played a supervisory role in the conspiracy.
Conspiracy and Investigation
According to preliminary findings, the attack was allegedly planned outside India. Media reports indicated that the conspiracy was hatched at the behest of gangster Arju Vishnoi, reportedly based in the United States. He is suspected to have coordinated with associates through social media platforms.
Authorities further revealed that the accused received financial support during the planning stage and were promised additional payments. After the incident, the shooters reportedly hid at various locations in Delhi-NCR before being apprehended.
The Mumbai Crime Branch stated that the investigation is ongoing and further revelations regarding the alleged international conspiracy may emerge in the coming days.
