Shiv Sena Leader Shaina NC Slams Abu Azmi Over Aurangzeb Remarks

Date:

Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC has strongly condemned Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi for his remarks on Aurangzeb, accusing him of distorting history and engaging in vote-bank politics.

“Abu Azmi should take a history lesson. He seems to have forgotten that it is the same Aurangzeb who destroyed thousands of Hindu temples, including the Trimbakeshwar temple and the temple next to the Kashi Vishwanath temple. He also ordered the destruction of the Jagannath temple,” Shaina NC said.

Her response comes amid widespread criticism of Azmi, who recently made statements that appeared to praise Aurangzeb. Several political leaders, particularly from the BJP and Shiv Sena, have lashed out at him for what they view as a blatant misrepresentation of historical facts.

Shaina NC further accused Azmi of making such remarks for political gain, stating that his words were not only misleading but also deeply offensive to the sentiments of Hindus.

“So please, Abu Azmi, stop doing your petty vote-bank politics. You are hurting the sentiments of Hindus with this ignorant statement,” she added.

The controversy has reignited debates on Aurangzeb’s legacy in India, with many demanding an apology from Azmi. Meanwhile, opposition parties continue to push for action against him, escalating political tensions in Maharashtra.
