Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has praised the efforts of the Shiv Sena Medical Aid Party in providing medical assistance to underprivileged families, particularly highlighting the treatment given to children with critical health conditions. Speaking about the progress, Shinde shared the story of a boy from Dhanoli village in Satara district, whose parents work in a brick kiln. The boy, who is both deaf and mute, had been confined by his parents using ropes to prevent him from moving around.
“This Chavan family lives in Dhanoli village of Satara district. Both the parents of this boy work in a brick kiln, and they tie his feet with ropes so that the boy cannot go anywhere. The boy cannot speak or listen,” Shinde said. He credited Mangesh Chivte for paying attention to this issue, which led to the boy receiving treatment at Thane’s Jupiter Hospital.
Shinde also detailed the broader impact of the Shiv Sena Medical Aid Party’s initiatives, revealing that they have successfully treated 5,000 children with chest conditions and 2,500 children who are deaf and mute. “Such surgeries are not affordable for ordinary families,” Shinde noted. He further added that the Medical Aid Cell, in collaboration with the Dr. Shrikant Shinde Foundation, has taken on the responsibility of providing such treatments at no cost to families who cannot afford them.
“Our medical ward provides treatment through medical camps for those who have diseases or cannot afford surgeries. All such surgeries are done free of cost and are a matter of satisfaction,” Shinde emphasized, highlighting the importance of this initiative in improving the lives of vulnerable families.
The Medical Aid Party has been instrumental in ensuring that critical surgeries and medical care are accessible to economically disadvantaged families, reinforcing the commitment to social welfare and healthcare in the state. As these medical camps continue to provide free treatments, the initiative is set to expand its reach, offering vital support to those in need across Maharashtra.
