BJP MLA Ram Kadam Criticizes Uddhav Thackeray Govt on CBI Closure Report in Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

Date:

BJP MLA Ram Kadam has sharply criticized the Uddhav Thackeray-led government for its handling of the Sushant Singh Rajput death case after the CBI filed its closure report. Kadam accused the state government of intentionally delaying the case’s handover to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), stating that it took 68 days for the case to be transferred. He claimed this delay allowed for key evidence to be tampered with.

“The Uddhav Thackeray Govt did not hand over this case to CBI for 68 days. The case was handed over to CBI after the furniture was removed, his house was painted, and the house was handed over to the old owner. It is clear that the Uddhav Thackeray Govt wanted to erase the evidence, and this is the reason why Sushant’s family could not get justice,” Kadam said in a statement.

Kadam further emphasized that the investigation into Rajput’s death should be reopened, accusing the Maharashtra government of obstructing justice. He stated that a thorough investigation is necessary to ensure the truth comes to light. “Sushant Singh Rajput’s death should be investigated again. Maharashtra Govt has decided that the SIT will investigate Sushant Singh Rajput’s death again. This is the demand I placed in the Vidhan Sabha,” he added.

The BJP MLA’s comments come after the CBI filed a closure report, which concluded that there was no evidence to suggest foul play in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The closure report has been met with mixed reactions, with some expressing dissatisfaction over the findings and calling for further investigation.
