Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane Defends BJP’s ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ Kits Distribution, Emphasizes Support for Nation-Loving Muslims

Date:

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has defended the BJP Minority Morcha’s initiative of distributing ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ kits to poor Muslims, asserting that the party’s outreach is for those who are loyal to the country and respect its values. The kits, which were distributed to underprivileged Muslim families, have been a part of the BJP’s efforts to connect with the community and provide aid to those in need.

Speaking about the program, Rane clarified the party’s stance on Muslims, stating, “BJP never said that we are against nation-loving Muslims. The Muslims who do jihad and try to make India into an Islamic nation, those who raise slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during our festivals, we are against them. The Muslims who treat this country as their own and respect our national flag, we are always with them. This scheme is for the nation-loving Muslims.”

Rane’s comments come amid criticism and political debates surrounding the BJP’s relationship with the Muslim community. He stressed that the ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ scheme is meant to aid Muslims who are devoted to India and share the country’s values. The kits, which include essential items, are being distributed in various parts of Maharashtra as part of the BJP’s broader outreach efforts.

The initiative is seen as an attempt by the BJP to strengthen its ties with Muslim communities, particularly those who are committed to national unity. However, the program has sparked mixed reactions, with some praising it as a humanitarian gesture, while others see it as a politically motivated move aimed at garnering support from specific segments of the electorate.

As the distribution of the ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ kits continues, Nitesh Rane’s remarks have added fuel to the ongoing discussion about the BJP’s approach to minority communities in India.
