Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack, Confirms Two Victims from State

Date:

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, calling it an attempt to derail the region’s path to peace and development.

“We condemn this attack… This attack was attempted at stopping J&K’s journey towards development,” Fadnavis said in a statement to the press.

The Chief Minister confirmed that two people from Maharashtra were among those who lost their lives in the attack. “I am also in touch with the administration there,” he added, emphasizing the state government’s active coordination with Jammu and Kashmir authorities.

Fadnavis noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken serious cognisance of the incident, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is heading to the region. “Strict action will be taken,” he assured.

The attack has reignited concerns over the security situation in Kashmir, particularly as efforts have been underway to boost tourism and economic activity in the valley.
