Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Praises Peaceful and Joyful Ganeshotsav Celebrations

Date:

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday expressed happiness over the smooth and grand celebrations of Ganeshotsav across the state. Speaking about the festival, he said that while there is always a touch of sadness during the immersion of Ganesh idols, there is equal joy in knowing that Lord Ganesh will return next year.

“Ganeshotsav was celebrated very well for 10 days in Maharashtra. When Ganesh ji is immersed, there is a little sadness that ‘Bappa’ is leaving us after 10 days. But there is also happiness that Ganesh ji will come again next year,” CM Fadnavis said.

Highlighting the successful management of the large-scale festivities, he appreciated the efforts of the police department, municipal corporations, and local administrations across cities including Mumbai and Pune, where massive processions are underway. He noted that the coordination among various departments ensured the celebrations remained peaceful, safe, and well-organized despite the huge crowds.

Ganeshotsav, one of Maharashtra’s most celebrated festivals, witnessed vibrant processions, cultural performances, and devotional activities over the past ten days. The immersion process, which marks the conclusion of the festival, is being carried out in several parts of the state with enthusiasm and devotion.

The Chief Minister also extended his gratitude to citizens for maintaining harmony and contributing to the festive spirit. He said that the success of Ganeshotsav reflects Maharashtra’s tradition of unity, devotion, and cultural pride.
