CM Devendra Fadnavis Launches Slum Rehabilitation Project in Ghatkopar

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday attended the bhoomipujan ceremony of the slum rehabilitation project at Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar and Kamraj Nagar in Ghatkopar.

Speaking at the event, CM Fadnavis highlighted the state government’s commitment to providing dignified housing for all, particularly for residents living in informal settlements. He said the project marks an important step toward improving urban infrastructure and ensuring a better quality of life for slum dwellers.

The initiative aims to transform congested and unsafe living conditions into planned housing with modern amenities, aligning with the government’s broader vision of sustainable and inclusive urban development.

The Chief Minister also expressed confidence that such projects would accelerate Mumbai’s redevelopment drive, creating safer, cleaner, and more livable neighborhoods while empowering citizens through secure housing ownership.
