BJP Leader Ram Kadam Responds to Aaditya Thackeray’s Drone Claim, Says Shiv Sena (UBT) Is ‘Playing with People’s Sentiments’

Date:

Mumbai: Reacting to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray’s claim of spotting a drone near his residence, BJP leader Ram Kadam on Tuesday dismissed the allegation, saying it was part of Shiv Sena (UBT)’s attempt to create unnecessary controversy.

Kadam questioned the intent behind Thackeray’s statement, remarking, “What do Aaditya Thackeray and his party Shiv Sena (UBT) have got left that he is saying a drone was being used for surveillance? Their MPs, MLAs, and councillors have already left them.”

He pointed out that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) had clarified that the drone was being used for an official survey purpose, not surveillance. “MMRDA has stated that a drone was being used to conduct a survey. But their (Shiv Sena UBT) only work is to play with people’s sentiments,” Kadam said.

Taking a sharp dig at the party, Kadam added, “They should think about why they are called ‘Khichdi Chor’,” referring to the BJP’s frequent criticism of the Thackeray faction for allegedly misleading the public and lacking political direction.

The exchange comes amid growing political tensions in Maharashtra, where both factions of the Shiv Sena continue to spar over legacy, leadership, and credibility.
