Piyush Goyal Targets RJD-Congress Amid Family Feud, Says India Rejects ‘Nepotism and Jungleraj’

Date:

Mumbai, Maharashtra: Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday took a sharp dig at the RJD and Congress amid the ongoing feud within Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family, asserting that the people of India—especially Bihar—have rejected dynastic politics in favour of development-driven governance.

Goyal said that voters have expressed confidence in the leadership model of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, adding that the NDA’s recent electoral victories reflect public support for development, transparency, and stability.

“Unfortunately, Congress and RJD dynasties are unable to understand that the people of India and Bihar are satisfied with the political model of PM Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar,” he said.

Criticising the Opposition, Goyal stated that citizens today are opposed to “nepotism, corruption, and appeasement,” and prefer governments that ensure opportunities and growth.

“People want politics of development and opportunities… By giving more than 200 seats to NDA, they have given a big message that only politics of development will be acceptable. Jungleraj is irrelevant in India now,” he added.

Looking ahead, the Union Minister said the NDA is fully prepared for upcoming elections, including the Mumbai Municipal Corporation polls, as well as assembly elections in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.

In a bold prediction about West Bengal, Goyal claimed:

“In West Bengal, NDA will win more than 90% seats.”

The remarks come at a time when the ruling coalition is intensifying its outreach efforts and strengthening its organisational presence across key states as part of its broader electoral strategy.
